Supported Housing Officer

We are recruiting for the above position for our STOP service. The successful candidate will work with vulnerable ex offenders who require housing in our supported tenancies properties and provide a floating support service to those wanting to access our services.

Working 35 hours per week, flexibly between 9am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday

Salary – £19,000 fixed.

The candidate needs to be highly motivated and have the passion, enthusiasm and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of vulnerable communities

. 

The STOP service accommodates and supports low risk ex offenders who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, including those with complex needs. The focus of the service is to assist service users to break the cycle of offending, provide supported accommodation to those in housing need and, work with service users towards being tenancy ready in order that they are able to successfully move on to settled accommodation.

We are recruiting for the above position for our Parent+ service. The successful candidate will work with lone parents in both a floating support capacity and with those residing in our supported tenancies properties.

Working 35 hours per week, flexibly between 9am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday

Salary – £19,000 fixed.

This position is initially offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The candidate needs to be highly motivated and have the passion, enthusiasm and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of vulnerable communities. 

The Parent+ service accommodates and supports single parents who are homeless or at risk of homelessness including people and families with complex needs and those experiencing domestic abuse. The focus of the service is to support lone parents to prevent homelessness, to provide supported accommodation to those in need and work with service users towards successful move on to settled accommodation.

We are recruiting for a: 

 Tenancy Management Officer – Men Standing Up Service 

Working 35 hours per week, working flexibly between 9:00am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday 

Salary – £17,290k per annum fixed 

s/he will be responsible for delivering a housing management role to our Men Standing Up service including processing referrals, signing tenants up to accommodation, dealing with housing benefit claims and ensuring good collection rates, conducting budgeting skills sessions, reporting and chasing repairs to properties, conducting regular health and safety checks, conducting re-let duties.

Men Standing Up provides a service for men who are suffering from domestic abuse. We offer a confidential Freephone helpline and a floating support service.

Volunteers to staff the confidential Freephone Helpline at the Men standing up offices.

You will assist the Service Manager and Supported Housing Officers to offer support to callers over the telephone. You will, after induction, be responsible for support, signposting and offering emotional support to callers. You will be signposting callers to other support agencies and or referring callers to our Men Standing Up floating support scheme.

The job may entail some lone working.

You must be highly motivated and have the passion, enthusiasm and commitment towards making a difference to the lives of callers who are or have been suffering domestic abuse. We are looking for volunteers with the willingness to learn and develop.

A full induction will be offered along with regular supervision and ongoing training. Employment is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
