The aim of STOP is to break the cycle that sees offenders released from prison only to return after an unsuccessful rehabilitation. The STOP service offers temporary semi-supportive accommodation for ex-offending men and women aged 18+.
The scheme is aimed at diverting vulnerable people from re-offending.
Some STOP accommodation has been commissioned by Bradford Council and referrals will come via Bradford Council Housing Options service.

see below for our referral procedure for the different elements of the service
Homelessness is a main factor towards offending and by providing stable accommodation we will mitigate this element. We will further enhance service users opportunity of succeeding by putting in place a comprehensive support package that will assist in addressing many of the complex needs presented by offenders and which contributes to their chaotic lifestyle. Working in partnership with key agencies such as the prison services, probation and Youth Offending Teams the STOP team will offer intensive support that helps service users move on into their own accommodation.
We aim to Help service users to develop coping strategies and life skills that help to prevent them from re-offending and returning to prison and/or becoming homeless.
Some units are commissioned by Bradford Council and referrals come via the housing options service.
